Important Consumer Information/Opinion About [No Good] Goode Motor Mazda in Twin Falls.

On March 4, 2024 my fiancée took her Mazda CX-5 in for a routine oil change and tire rotation to No Good Goode Motor Mazda. This CX-5 with Skyactiv Technology was a 2018 model, and had approximately 65,000 miles.

The service desk chose to up-sell my fiancée by claiming the vehicle needed both a transmission fluid replacement and a radiator flush. There are major failures with these recommendations:

Even with the existence of these Mazda publications, No Good Goode Mazda sent my fiancée home with an approximately $1,200.00 bill and two unnecessary service items performed. They seem to use a tactic of filming the customer's car with recommendations, then showing the video to the customer which allows them to validate fake diagnosis and unscrupulous recommendations (my opinion).

Upon learning of this, and knowing that 65,000 miles was quite early for these procedures, I performed a simple online search and found the information listed above. I immediately contacted Goode Motor Mazda and spoke with Cam Breton. Cam tried dancing around the situation and gave ambiguous answers until I emailed him Mazda's own documentation. After explaining that I had no problem filing suit for their fraud, we were issued full refunds for the two unnecessary service items. They apologized for "not being aware" of the service schedules and advised they would provide proper training for their staff.

No harm, no foul?

While it is my opinion that No Good Goode Motor Mazda knew full well what they were doing cheating a customer, I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and leave things be. I hoped that they were telling the truth and that such an incident would not happen again. Sadly, that was not the case...

The Empire Strikes Back

On Thursday June 13, 2024, we decided to take the CX-5 back to Mazda. A few days prior we received a low tire pressure indicator and found the pressure of the front right tire to be 21psi, whilst the rest of the tires were at the proper inflation of 35psi. We aired up the low tire and made an appointment with No Good Goode Motor Mazda, suspecting a nail in the tire.

Up to their usual no good (opinion), Goode Motor Mazda diagnosed the problem as a nail in the tire "that cannot be repaired because it is on the side of the tire". They quickly recommended that we buy a brand-new set of FOUR NEW TIRES! After suspecting we were being lied to yet again, we chose to take the vehicle over to Les Schwab for a second opinion.

Les Schwab was truthful about the tire. While the tire had a nail in it, Les Schwab explained it was barely through the tire and was in a location that was completely patchable. Les Schwab's excellent customer care team patched the tire and did not even want to accept any payment for the repair. What a great company!

BE CAREFUL!

While we LOVE Mazda vehicles, I decided it was necesary to warn our community members of this dealership. We can no longer trust No Good Goode Motor Mazda because it seems only two possibilies are likely:

We can no longer trust No Good Goode Motor Mazda. We will likely replace our CX-5 with a Toyota; since Wills Toyota of Twin Falls have always treated us well and acted honorably.

It is quite a shame that No Good Goode Motor Mazda does not embody Mazda's Company Vision.
